CONVENTION 2008

Sixteenth SISA convention. An unforgettable week of friendship and good company, combining a professional experience with the pleasures of a holiday. 

The annual meeting is always well attended and this year the  SISA convention was held in two consecutive weeks, from 26th June to 3rd July and from 3rd-10th July. The venue for the event was the splendid Club Hotel Marina Beach, Golfo di Orosei (Nuoro), where the members spent a great week together, accompanied by their families.

It was a week of relaxation and enjoyment, during which the SISA members and guests made the most of the seaside and the various sporting activities offered by the resort, participating enthusiastically in the evening entertainment and taking a lively interest in the convention entitled "The new competition challenges facing the retail trade”,  a meeting during which Prof. Daniele Fornari of Cermes, Bocconi University of Milan, illustrated and analysed an important topic for the retail business.  

This week of intense activity was also enhanced by the presence of some important names in the industry who undoubtedly enriched and gave added prestige to the event. At Marina Beach, SISA’s industrial partners made an important contribution to the activities and catering with tastings and special initiatives for the members, giving an extra dimension to their holiday.

The week of holiday and relaxation at the Club Hotel Marina Beach also featured a full programme of trips available to the members and guests interested in exploring Sardinia and its traditions in greater depth.
Then there were all sorts of evening entertainments in the village, with shows and dancing late into the night. Special evenings including a concert by Smaila and band and a great cabaret act by the two comedians Di Rieccio and Marsiglia.    
Other memorable musical evenings included the Bruno Conte concert and Cheryl Porter’s black music with the Voxbox vocal group.
