PIATTO D’AUTORE
The international gastronomic journalistic
prize “Piatto d’Autore”, a
public performance that has involved all the
participants since it has combined food, design
and art forms. SISA,
the technical sponsor of this special worldwide
event in the tradition of the Italian cuisine.
The journalistic prize “Piatto d’Autore”
is a gastronomic contest of food design, where
the protagonists are prominent journalists who,
divided into local and foreign representatives,
accepted the challenge of cooking a special
dish, a small work of art made with high quality
ingredients like the tradition of Italian cuisine
calls for. This event, which took place last
September at the Sheraton Hotel in Rome, in
the presence of more than 250 reporters, was
hosted by Maria Teresa Ruta who, with her usual
appeal has entertained the public and the journalists/cooks
throughout the whole evening.
SISA
was present at this public performance as a
technical sponsor, to demonstrate the sensibility
of the firm towards the significant initiatives.
An important event to which SISA
is proud to have contributed to by supplying
all the products, on sale in all SISA
supermarkets which were utilized as ingredients
to prepare the dishes participating in the competition
as well as the ones for the refined formal dinner.
SISA
is a format which, in addition to guarantee
quality products, shows special attention towards
people and their needs. An opportunity that
highlights and puts value in the sensibility
of the firm towards the individual contributing
to the improvement of life and the passion for
flavors, many natural ingredients as the tradition
of the Italian cuisine calls for.
The sponsors of the public performance were
many prestigious; in particular SISA’s
partners Amadori and Capitelli.
The 20 participants in the contest were reporters
of national and foreign press divided into four
teams, each one of them supervised by a renown
cook who has helped the participants to transform
a simple first course dish into a creative object,
later being evaluated by a qualifies jury made
up of personalities from the gastronomic and
non-gastronomic world. The culinary specialties
were evaluated for their appearance, flavor
and the choice of the cooking instrument. At
the same time, it was an important mundane happening,
with the presence of known journalists, show
business celebrities, opinion leaders, gastronomic
critics, TV and show business personalities
working in the food world. To choreograph the
evening there was also the art of fashion, with
a fashion show by Renato Balestra, but “Piatto
d’Autore” was also an important
event in terms of solidarity initiatives in
that a share of sponsors’ contributions
and the receipts from the sale of lottery tickets
that took place during the evening, was donated
to charity.
SISA,
forever caring and sensitive in seizing opportunities,
couldn’t miss this engagement, so as to
further demonstrate to the market and in particular
to consumers, its passion for the good cuisine
and natural tastes, where the simple act of
daily eating becomes a time for personal satisfaction.
