SISA has been giving generously to those in need through the support of various humanitarian initiatives. An important example of solidarity, was carried out in Arbaba, in Ethiopia, where the construction of the Villaggio del Fanciullo and a water well were completed. The center bears the name of Gianni Baldina, ex President of the Distribution Center Centro Nord, who has died in January 2001.

This project, which is of vital importance in a country where the water for drinking and washing is a true rarity, has brought much joy among the three thousand children that have found a home in the village. SISA’s on-going commitment aims to further improve the quality of life of the local population. In the meanwhile, in the great heat of Africa, in the small village of Arbabà, the children, thanks to SISA, are finally seeing their dream for a better life coming true.
