SISA supports the project "Siria 2000" promoted by the “Associazione Bambini Cardiopatici nel Mondo" for the realization of a children heart surgery center at the Pediatric Hospital of Damask University. The project, which SISA supported with the construction of three storeys of the hospital, consists of creating a pediatric cardiology and heart surgery center.

The center, which will be endowed with two operating rooms, many beds and a bone marrow transplant unit, can cure children from the whole Middle East. The objective also calls for fostering hospital culture in a health structure able to offer state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic service in the children heart diseases sector that will become a point of reference for the whole Middle East
